Promenade. The Measure of the Surroundings – Elisabeth Scherffig

The Fondazione Ghisla Art Collection devotes its second temporary exhibition of 2026 to the artist Elisabeth Scherffig. "Promenade. La misura del circostante" traces about fifty years of her work and explores the relationship between architecture and nature, construction and transformation, memory and the present.

The show brings together works in which building sites, ruins, quarries, stones, vegetation and landscapes become material for observation. Drawing plays a central role in her practice, alongside photography, sculpture and installation.

At the same time, the top floor of the museum hosts the Scelta 2026 of the Ghisla Collection. It presents 34 works by artists who decisively shaped the last eighty years of international art history, including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, René Magritte, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Lucio Fontana.
