About the event

The Locarno Time Travel Tour is a free walk of about two hours through the streets of Locarno, offered by Ascona-Locarno Turismo. It covers different eras, little-known episodes from the past, historical figures and curiosities, and gives a look at places that are normally closed to the public.

During the tour the guide's stories take you back to a past era, with colourful characters who tell how things really went.

The tour can be run in Italian, German, French or English. For organisational reasons each visit uses at most two languages at once, chosen according to the majority of participants. When booking online, state your native language and, if you wish, a second language you know.

The walk is rated easy. The guide may stop or cancel the tour in bad weather.
